All community and social networking is needs led and personal centred to each individual, thus offering choice, empowerment and independence to individuals so clients can lead more enriched and fulfilling lives. All clients are supported with medical needs and requirements through local medical centres, hospitals and community learning difficulties teams (CLTD) which include GP, chiropody, optician, dentist, psychologists, dietician, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapist, orthotics and prosthetic services all are accessed on an ad hoc basis. Each individual’s religious and cultural needs are met; there are many places of worship within the area. Other facilities, activities and social networks we offer are – new experiences and hobbies such as caring for animals, attending farms and stables, learning new skills such as shintaido, tai chi and art groups, exploring local communities and wider networks, visits to exhibitions museums and places of interest. Trips to theatre, cinema, bowling venues, pub, restaurant and cafe visits, day trips and visits to family and social events. It’s great to explore and try new things!
